Hi
I have to thanks Align's help me to slove the prat issues while I was building mine.
Trex 600 is my first electric helicopter, my recently trip to Ircha Jamboree changed my reception on the electric heli I saw 2 years ago. It has more punch than nitro countpart, less part count, easy maintenance and service. The only short note is flight duration. There are about 10 of them at our club since we return from Ircha.
Now I have question on the 600 motor. I am running stock motor, ESC, TP 5000, 600 VBlade with these setup on the rotorhead:
Pitch: max out
Cyclic pitch: max out.
Because I dont have any nitro heli now, and to get the fun out of the 4min flight, I have to fly hard. I was doing my new moves few day back. The motor temperature reach 230 degree F and other temperture readings are normal: TP battery 120 F, ESC 90-100 F. The new move requires constant piroutte tic toc and perform a vertical loop.
Is the 600 motor can stand this temperature? Do I need a new motor? How can I tell if the motor had suffer damage from the heat? I could smell it when I land the helicopter.
Thanks
D
