BTW, that photo, the yellow color canopy belongs to "koon" and the transparent is my one.

It was taken on the same day as in the video.

Oh...Thanks "tudole" for helping me translate it.

Pico

You 're welcome!

Hornet

Yeh, I figured out you're in Singapore. I did see your post in RCgroup... no wondering it looks familiar to me.

For all viewer's information... if the rotor rotates CCW, it's called "American rotation", in the other hand, CW is called "Russian rotation". smiles-dem37.gif

Breifly translate Mr. Pico's comment:

Is this your DIY project or a kit supplied by some manufacturer? Is this an application for scale models?

I thought helicopter hovers with slight roll attitude is caused by the moment created by force and reaction force applied in different planes.

Will the tilted tail improve the helicopter roll attitude in hovering?

Are you doing this modifacation for scale project or just for experiment?
Someone in Taiwan had the similair approach, it seems to have a good effect.

VERY GOOD JOB!

It's a cool modification, I saw this mod in pic before...

Hi Hornet

Could you post more detail as fig section?
Or structure.
Thanks

I try to post some close picture if possible. My Video Camera closeup is very poor quality.

That part is actually a mechanical throw reduction. It reduces the pitch throw and also amplified the servo torque.

The reason I did that is because:
1 - TRex swash plate size I considered very big. Therefore, small movement in swash plate will result in bigger pitch throw.
2 - Mechanical TRex has alot of elevator freeplay. That freeplay will effect the cyclics and the pitch/collective if I connect directly from swash to blade grips.

U mean the mechanical reducer? It was there all along. If u read the RCGroups (or Daddyhobby) forum, I did mention the various version till I finalize on that kind of reducer.

Anyway, the reason I use servo horn instead is because I have it lying around. It also allow me to try different reduction value.

This is what I can say for the moment:
If you are running true CCPM, then maybe u can run without the reducer. If yours is conventional TRex mechanical mixing, then it is better to have the reducer. That is because our mechanical mixing TRex has too much freeplay. Using reducer, it also reduces the unwanted interaction to the cyclics and thus better/stable heli.
